Biobest Partners Up With Plant Products
Jennifer Polanz
Plant Products and Biobest announced that they signed a partnership agreement to solidify a long-standing collaboration that dates back to 1995. What does that mean?
It means once the transaction is complete, Biobest and the Stickles family (Chris Stickles is current president of Plant Products) will become joint owners of Plant Products, with Biobest holding a majority stake in the company.
It also means that going forward, the combined companies will operate under the Plant Products name—that includes Biobest Canada Inc., Biobest USA Ltd. and Plant Products Inc. The aforementioned Chris Stickles will become President of the new entity, and JF Bonal, current general manager of Biobest Canada/U.S. will become the Vice President.
“We are excited to join forces with the Biobest team,” Chris said in a media release. “Biobest strengthens Plant Products’ global perspec-tive of the horticulture industry and that will benefit our customers.
“Together, we will further expand our global network of supplier partnerships, including biopesticides and tools for crop monitoring. We’ll also build on our momentum and further strengthen our footprint in Canada and the USA.” IG
