This is the final article in a four-part series highlighting Michigan State University’s (MSU) Optimizing Indoor Agriculture (OptimIA) research on end-of-production (EOP)
sole-source lighting and reduced temperature strategies to enhance red leaf lettuce foliage color and other quality attributes. In this article, we’ll discuss how EOP cooling while providing moderate intensities of blue + red light influences foliage color, nutrition and yield of red leaf lettuce varieties.
