CEA Alliance Adds Members
Jennifer Polanz
As the controlled environment agriculture space continues to evolve and change, growers and suppliers are looking for ways to navigate through challenges and new opportunities. One place to find assistance is by joining an association dedicated to the industry, and that’s what several have done this winter.
According to the CEA Alliance, an industry association for CEA growers, eight companies joined during the first quarter of 2026, including the first mushroom grower, Windmill Farms.
“Mushroom farming is increasingly turning toward high-tech indoor CEA facilities to maximize yield, quality and freshness,” said Tom Stenzel, CEA Alliance executive director. “It’s great to now include mushroom growers, vine crops such as tomatoes, cukes and peppers, leafy greens, herbs, microgreens and berries as part of our expanding membership.”
Along with Windmill Farms, which has locations in Ontario (Canada) and Washington State (U.S.), new members include:
- Campo Caribe, a 5.5 acre leafy greens greenhouse grower in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico
- Duncan Family Farms, with 5 acres of CEA greenhouse herbs and microgreens production to complement more than 3,580 acres of outdoor organic farming in Arizona, Oregon and New York
- Edible Garden AG, a CEA grower with facilities in Michigan, Iowa and New Jersey, as well as a network of regional contract growers
- Blackmore/Ellepot USA, a provider of growing supplies, including Air Tray and Ellepot Lines & Seeding
- Ceres Greenhouse Solutions, a greenhouse supplier based in Boulder, Colorado
- Green Automation, a supplier of automated growing systems for commercial hydroponic lettuce and herb production
- PureNano Tech Inc., a next generation nanobubble technology company built for controlled environment agriculture
