Certhon’s Lettuce Yield Software

With a claim of 95% accuracy, Certhon launched Thevi, its new yield forecasting software package for lettuce growers. With Thevi, lettuce growers can forecast future crop yields with unprecedented accuracy, the company said in its announcement. The software uses information gained from continuous crop imaging and surveys and has deep learning technology that analyzes and compares images from the greenhouse.

The predictions made through the software take into account influences from inside and outside, such as LED lighting and weather. The predictions are accessible through a user-friendly dashboard.

“We use Thevi on a weekly basis and have gained significant benefits,” said Mark Delissen, founder and managing director of Deliscious, one of the first users of Thevi. “The dynamic forecasts of our lettuce weights are remarkably accurate. Even with changes both inside and outside the greenhouse, the forecasts remain reliable. As a result, we have been able to communicate better forecasts, allowing us to serve our customers even better.”
