AI Takes Awards From GreenTech Amsterdam

The annual GreenTech awards, given at GreenTech Amsterdam each year, always shine the spotlight on up-and-coming products and new concepts. This year, that spotlight was all about AI. Koppert won the Concept Award for their Digital Assistant, which provides personalized and context-rich IPM support by merging data from growers’ crop management systems and Koppert’s IPM knowledge.
Egon Janssen, chair of the award jury, said, “The initiative to use a ChatGPT like approach to assist growers can create a huge increase of the average knowledge level of growers.” (Visit koppert.com for more.)
Blue Radix won the GreenTech Innovation Award for their Integrated Autonomous Climate Control with Autonomous Irrigation Control. Using advanced AI, it integrates climate control and irrigation, reducing climate computer work by 80%. It also touts a 5% profit increase and 7% yield improvement, using 10% less water and fertilizer, while saving 15% in energy costs. (Find out more at blue-radix.com.)
